Meeting the Mayor

The day that the second group of new JETs arrived, all of us Shimonoseki city JETs had a very formal meeting with the mayor, who spoke quite good English, and had visited all of Shimonoseki's sister cities around the world (there isn't one in Canada though...).



On August 4th all the Yamaguchi-ken JETs travelled to Yamaguchi city to have another orientation. After the day's meetings we went for an all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink dinner, then karaoke. This picture is my first encounter with Steph "el diablo."
