Kyoto: days 2, 3, and 4

These are all my dad's pictures from his camera, because I forgot the connection cord for my own. I'll post my own shots when I get home.
Today, I shopped with my sisters (Danielle whining all the while), and my parents went to a museum and some temples, so I have no photos from today. Tomorrow we are off to Himeji.

On the train:

In the grounds of the Imperial Palace:

There were lots of plum blossoms out on the grounds and even some cherry. The weather was sunny and almost too warm!

Kinkakuji!

Note how sunny the weather is here. Only 10 minutes later the sky clouded over and it started raining.

By the time we got to Nijo-jo there was thunder and lightning!

Girls in the gardens at Nijo-jo:

Fushimi-Inari Shrine:

Kiyomizudera Walls:
Most of the sakura at Kiyomizudera unfortunately weren't blooming yet (they looked at least a week away), so it looked pretty much the same as it did when I saw it in January--only this time we payed and walked through in the right direction.

A trip to McDonald's for Danzie:

How did you like Fushimi-Inari Shrine? Looks like it was sunny while you were there. When I went the weather was quite crap, but I still thought it was impressive. And the mist gave it a slightly creapy feeling.
