Weekend with Mikaho's family (early July)

Dinner at a famous shrimp restaurant in Aio.

Mikaho's sister, Maho. she is really crazy and hyper and reminds me a lot of my sister, Liana.

Her family is like a miror family of mine, we are the same age and so are our siblings. I have known Mikaho since I was 15 and she came to Canada as a homestay student and stayed at my house. She was the reason I requested Yamaguchi-ken as opposed to some other place in Japan when applying for the JET Programme. This was my first time meeting her family, though I had talked to her mum on the phone before. We did a mini-homestay for me at their house.

On Sunday we randomly went to a party at Robert Schalkoff's house because he used to be Mikaho's teacher at uni.

It was the loveliest old-fashioned Japanese house I've ever seen, with a spectacular garden.

After that we went to a bridal fair, because Mikaho is getting married next year.

All the girls got dressed up.

The boyfriends waited very patiently (at least there was free food).
