The Shimonoseki Bakan Dance:

I danced in this last year with Becky and Stirling with the City Hall "dance team" and this year danced in it with the city's new ALT, Louise. We had to go to a practice sesson to learn the dance the week before. It's a bit like a big parade taking place on about a 1km long section of the main street near Shimonoseki station, with hundreds of people, representing different companies and groups, dancing as well as live traditional singing and drumming on a big stage.
